Update on the ornament ball project.  I bought 12 large balls that open up vertically.  So, all that tweezer business is unecessary.  I got the Tim Holtz Alterations die and used glitter cardstock.  I may trim them down to use in the plastic balls.  I have Ranger texture paste, mini tinsel strands, glitter for snow.  Just have to take all these parts and put them in the ball.  Then I'll post a pic with all the products I used.

Glitter Paint

For anyone who doesn't want to deal with the mess that glitter makes, there is a product from Marth Stewart called Glitter Paint.  Glitter in paint -- what's not to like?  I will be using these for my little putz houses.

I have another idea.  Instead of 3D houses, Tim Holtz has a movers and shapers die of 4 houses that are one dimensional and can be assembled like an accordion type card.  Here's a YouTube vid:  Click on the text and then the link.

House Mouse and Putz Houses

Hi All,
I'm workin on putz houses (little glittered houses made from painted and glittered chipboard.  I was going to spend a small fortune on Sizzix dies for cottages, but there are plenty of free patterns online.  One site is "Cardboard Christmas".  My idea is to make the houses and stamp, color HM Christmas stamps, cut them out with attached tabs for standing up and posing them in fron of the houses.

Can't wait to finish one to post a pic for you.

The above is a link to images of a putz house.  It even has a link to a free pattern of the house I'm working on.

Karen Jenks Inspiration

Hi Karen,
Just finished this afghan.  This will be my go-to for a granny square.  They work up so quickly.  I used Granny Square Color Generator to help with color placement.  Another favorite tool.  Also tried the single crochet joining.  I like the raised texture.  All in all a success.  Thanks so much!!

This tutorial creates a 3D look to stamped images. I have a Sizzix die that has slits in it and never knew how that worked.

Braided Ribbon Embellishment

I googled how to braid ribbon.  www.youtube.com/watch?v=5leL2u87pN0
It's a different look -- more tailored than a bow, but colorful.  I'm making the "Love is in the Air" card and will use it in strips.  If you ever braided palm, it's the same idea.

Monday Challenge, "Anything Goes"

Here is my first attempt to enter a challenge.  I'll choose "Anything Goes", since I haven't finished "Love is in the Air".  This is Tiger, CEO of Tiger's Crafts.
